STATEMENT OF EXPERIENCE:
Success for this designer can be attributed primarily to years of practicing experience in the interior finish field since the 1970’s. This experience has encompassed many aspects of the interior design industry, with capabilities covering all facets of design such as conceptualization and illustration (including 3-D walkthrough presentations) as well as estimation, sales, procurement, management and project supervision. However, an innate ability to work well with people and projects of all types is what I consider to be my greatest asset. One can learn a great deal from books and observation; yet nothing can match the total immersion, the hands-on application of such knowledge while faced with a variety of situations, challenging projects, and wildly diverse client personalities…
At various times, positions held have included (present) independent designer/business owner, staff designer for a prestigious Fortune 500 mogul, regional designer for a national department store and design store retail sales manager…as well as having worked with a number of reputable interior design studios. This experience has involved residential, commercial and corporate themes/applications. It has been an honor to have my award-winning design work featured in a number of esteemed regional and national publications. Additionally, I have done some feature writing on design topics for regional magazines. |
